The Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr Al-Alaywi, signed today, Thursday, with his Lebanese counterpart, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, an Iraqi-Lebanese memorandum of understanding in the agricultural field.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent stated, “The Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, sponsored the signing of the Iraqi Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr Al-Alaywi, and the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al-Hajj, of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries in the agricultural field, in a meeting in which the Charge d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Lebanon, Amin Al-Nasrawi, and the Lebanese Ambassador participated.” In Iraq, Ali Habhab and members of the Iraqi and Lebanese delegations.”.
He continued, "During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Lebanon affirmed the strength of relations between Lebanon and Iraq, and thanked Iraq for its support of Lebanon in all circumstances," stressing that "the memorandum of understanding in the agricultural field constitutes the beginning of renewed cooperation in all fields.".
He stressed "the importance of this cooperation covering all fields," noting that "at the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister sponsored the signing of the agreement between the two ministers.".
