National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji confirmed today, Thursday, that the government will take appropriate measures in response to the assassination of the martyr Abu Baqir Al-Saadi, stressing that the government’s clear and frank decision is to end the mission of the international coalition in Iraq.
Al-Araji told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) during the funeral ceremony for the martyr Abu Baqir Al-Saadi: “Targeting the martyr is a cowardly and reprehensible act, targeting Iraqi sovereignty and an official national security institution represented by the Popular Mobilization Forces.”.
He added, "The Iraqi government is in the process of taking appropriate measures to deal with this targeting," noting, "There are dialogues with the American side, and any targeting undermines efforts to make the dialogue a success.".
He stressed, "The Iraqi government has a clear and explicit decision to end the mission of the international coalition in Iraq."
