The Supreme Youth Council confirmed ,on Wednesday, that youth programs contribute to enhancing awareness of cultural diversity, while setting the program goals .
Qasim Al-dhalmi the Council member, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " The current Government within its program gave special attention to the youth , as they are the pillar and hope ray of Iraq future ",noting that "the Government program included projects aimed to investing youth energies and benefiting from the positive experiences of other countries”.
Al-dhalmi stressed that "the importance of the youth programs role in transferring the young man and transforming him to positive thinking ,preparing him mentally and providing him with technical, social and life skills to become an active member in the society".
He added that "The program aspires to do more, reach a larger segment of young people, encourage and facilitate them, and provide them with resources that will open new horizons ,especially creativity requires a suitable environment that trust on its youth and their abilities ".
He pointed out that "one of the program goals of is to introduce youth programs that aim to enhance the cultural awareness of young people, expand knowledge and general culture, in addition to enhancing social interaction and communication among them, enhancing human and moral values and faith in cultural diversity”.
The Ministers Council decided, in August of last year 2023, on the occasion of World Youth Day, to form the Supreme Youth Council.
