The Government Media Team announces the Digital Transformation results among State Institutions

    The government media team announced, on Monday, the results of digital transformation among state institutions, while confirming the readiness to start the second phase of the digital transformation system.

    "The Government's orientations focused on comprehensive digital transformation, in order to simplify government procedures, reduce time and bureaucracy and eliminate the falsification of official documents" ,indicating that "the file receives direct attention from Prime Minister”, the spokesman of the government media team, Haider Majid, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA ).

    He explained that "the number of official entities operating the government mail system has reached (285) institutions of ministry and Directorate in various sectors, and the work is managed by more than (500) employees, while the number of documents circulating electronically has reached more than (500) thousand".

    He pointed out that "the Information Technology Department at the general secretariat of the Council of ministers has reached advanced stages in preparation for launching the second stage of the system, which is to connect entities not associated with the ministry, and then switch to the third and final stage, by connecting the governorates, to complete the official system by connecting it to the secure government network impenetrable, and follow-up periodically by the Secretary-General of the Ministers Council ".

    Majid stressed that" this service allows the documents circulation between all official institutions electronically "noting that "the Information Technology Department has started putting watermarks on the documents, which carry a" code" for each employee, in order to eliminate the process of leaking official documents or circulation unofficially”.

    "The Information Technology Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers supervised the system, in direct coordination with  Prime Minister’s Office and  Communications Ministry "he added.
