The Judiciary and US Treasury discuss the sanctions issued against Iraqi companies

The Supreme Judicial Council SJC and the US Treasury Department discussed, on Monday, the sanctions issued against Iraqi companies.

SJC stated in statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that " The President of the Supreme Judicial Council – SJC , Faiq Zidan, received, Brian Nelson ,the U.S. Treasury’s Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence , in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Mission in Iraq,  David Burger and the Judicial Attaché at the US Embassy, Elaine Andrezzi and his accompanying delegation”.

"The two sides discussed the legal procedures and sanctions issued by the US Treasury Department - OFAC regarding on Iraqi people and companies "the statement  added.
