Barcelona: “Balde will not participate in any matches until next summer”

Barcelona team lost the efforts of one of its prominent players today, Saturday, until the end of the current season, due to injury.

Barcelona said, in an official statement published on its account on the “X” network: “Tests showed that Balde suffers from an injury to the tendon of the right knee.”.

Barca's statement added, "In the coming days, the player will undergo surgery, under the supervision of Dr. Lasse Limpinen, and the club's medical staff, in Turku, Finland. Once the surgery is carried out, a new statement will be issued.".

Fabrizio Romano, an expert on player and coach transfers in Europe, confirmed that Balde's season with Barcelona has ended.
Fabrizio wrote, through his “X” account: “Balde will not participate in any matches until next summer.”.

Balde had suffered an injury while trying to run in one of the attacks, in the match against Athletic Bilbao, today, Wednesday, in the quarter-finals of the Spanish King’s Cup.

Barcelona's medical staff tried to provide assistance to Balde, but the latter was unable to complete the match, as he left in the 23rd minute.
Xavi Hernandez, the coach of the Catalan team, was forced to bring in the young man Hector Forte in his place.

In a related context, Barcelona announced that Sergi Roberto suffered an injury to his left Achilles tendon, and the duration of his absence will be determined based on the pace of his recovery from the injury.
