The Ministry of Interior revealed the formation of a program that is strict and subjects all state employees to test.
Hussein Al-Tamimi, the director of media office for the Directorate of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Affairs, informed the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a key program will be developed in which all state employees will be subjected to a special test to detect drug users, and a joint workshop was held between the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs with the competent authorities and in the presence of one judge of the Supreme Judicial Council."
The statement from Al-Tamimi stated that "On January 1, 2023, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari made a bold decision to establish a higher committee to investigate all officers, employees, and employees of the Internal Security Forces in the Ministry of Interior without exception.
