Al-Mandalawi receives Nechirvan Barzani

Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, agreed on Sunday to resolve the outstanding files between Baghdad and Erbil through dialogue and understanding in accordance with the Constitution.

A statement issued by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated " Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi received, today, at his residence, the President of  Kurdistan region Nechirvan Barzani, in the presence of a number of MPs, to exchange views on the political and security situation in Iraq”.

"During the meeting, they discussed a number of important files and issues, including the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil, and stressed the importance of resolving the outstanding files between them through dialogue and understanding in accordance with the Constitution, in addition to discussing developments at the regional level and the need to maintain stability and security in the country and cooperation in order to achieve the interests and aspirations of the various components of the generous Iraqi people "the statement  added.
