Al-Shammari honors a traffic cop for arresting a killer in Baghdad

Abdul Amir al-Shammari, the interior minister, honored a traffic cop in Baghdad for arresting a suspect who had killed individual.


"One of the courageous traffic cops in Yarmouk traffic sector within the Baghdad Karkh traffic police was honored by Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari after he arrested a suspect who killed a person," according to a statement the Ministry of Interior provided to the Iraqi News Agency (INA). "In cooperation with the federal police, the cop arrested the criminal while he was controlling traffic. The criminal was riding a motorcycle when he was captured."

The minister commended the bravery displayed by this   traffic cop who enforced the law in a way that bodes well for the future of those who enlist in the Ministry of Interior to serve as traffic cops.
