The Presidency of the Republic condemned today, Thursday, the aggression that targeted a security headquarters in Baghdad.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We strongly condemn the aggression that targeted one of the security headquarters in Baghdad, and resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded,” indicating that “this aggression is a breach and transgression against Iraq’s sovereignty and security, and a clear violation of international relations between Iraq and the international coalition, and in violation of the frameworks and justifications for which the coalition existed to provide assistance and advice to the Iraqi security forces.”

He added, "As Iraq warns of the continued escalation in the region that would undermine the chances for peace and stability there, it calls for giving priority to the language of dialogue and understanding and finding ways to end tensions and crises between all parties."
