The Independent High Electoral Commission - IHEC announced on Sunday, that it has received more than 100 appeals, while referring the completed ones to the judicial authority.
The secretary-general of the board of commissioners of the Election Commission, Ali Faisal, said in statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) " To date, the commission has received more than 100 appeals " expecting " arrival of the appeals to more than 150 appeals at the end of today's official work ".
Faisal added that " The appeals and complaints department takes the same view on all appeals submitted ", stressing that "the commission has started today, sending the completed appeals to the judicial authority to decide on them”.
He pointed out that "from today , all appeals will be resolved by the commission and sent to the judicial authority within the period specified by law".
"After the end of today's official work, the commission will close receiving appeals in all its offices according to the electoral law" he stressed.
