Iraq , France discusses the development of combat capabilities

The deputy commander of Joint Operations Command JOC , Lieutenant General Qais al-Mohammadawi discussed, on Saturday ,with the Chief of Staff of French Land Forces cooperation and coordination in combat capabilities development.

According to Security Media Cell , JOC said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency (INA ) that "Al-Mohammadawi received at command headquarters Lieutenant General Pierre Schell, commander of French land Forces and the accompanying delegation in the presence of the commander of land forces and officers of command staff.

The statement added that "The two sides discussed joint French-Iraqi cooperation and coordination in the fields of training, consulting and developing combat preparations in France's efforts to Support Iraqi desert forces and Counter Terrorism Service forces ".

In turn, Al-Mohammadawi stressed that " Iraqi security forces have made an important step in enhancing their own capabilities and have reached a qualitative level in combat readiness and fought major battles that confirmed their superiority and recorded a field advantage in the face of terrorism".
 
In turn,  Chief of Staff of  French Land Forces praised “ The great development witnessed by Iraqi security forces and their continuous field victories against terrorism and spread security ,stability throughout the country".
 
"At the end of the meeting, Al-Mohammadawi thanked the French forces that stood by the security forces to strengthen Iraq's victories over the defeated terrorist elements" the statement continued.
