Al-Shorta loses to the Lebanese athlete in Wasl Championship

 The Al-Shorta basketball team lost, this evening, Thursday, to the Lebanese team, with a score of 115 to 83 points in the match that was held at Al-Shaab Hall in Baghdad in the third round of the second group competitions of the West Asian Club Championship (WASL). 

The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported, “The Lebanese sports players performed well since the first period of the match, which they finished in their favor 19/29, and the Lebanese team raised the difference in the score to 31 points, 67 compared to 36 in the second period, taking advantage of the police team’s weak defense and handling.” Cut balls, as well as lack of concentration under the basket.” .

He added, "Al-Shorta performance improved in the third period to reduce the difference to less than 20 points, but Al-Shorta did not succeed in reversing the large gap and lost the confrontation by 32 points, 115 to 83.".

He continued, "The Lebanese athlete leads the teams in his second group after today's match, while the police awaits an important meeting that will bring him together with the Syrian unit in the People's Hall."
