The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, today, Friday, its rejection and condemnation of what happened to the Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its rejection and condemnation of the attacks on the Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad by unruly groups, and in this regard, we renew We were keen to adhere to the sanctity of diplomatic missions and the necessity of not endangering their security.”.
He stressed that "the security authorities have taken all measures and are making the utmost efforts to pursue those responsible, to refer them to the judiciary to receive their just punishment, and to prevent any breach of the security of diplomatic missions.".
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up with the security authorities responsible for the investigation, to find out those responsible for this attack," stressing that "such actions will not affect the conduct of diplomatic work, to which Iraq attaches great importance, because of its impact in bridging relations between Baghdad and the countries of the world." , protection, and mutual care for bilateral interests.”.
