AL-Araji receives the Azerbaijani ambassador to Baghdad

The national security adviser, Qassim Al-Araji confirmed on, Tuesday, that the strategic goal of Iraqi government is close the Syrian al-Hol camp.

 
Media Office of the national security adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) “The national security adviser, Qasim al-Araji, received the Azerbaijani ambassador to Baghdad, Nasser Mammadov, at his office today”.

The statement added that “AL- Araji discussed with the Azerbaijani ambassador the political and security situation in the region, ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, in the interests of the two friendly peoples and countries, at all levels”.
 
According to the statement Al-Araji stressed that "the strategic goal of the Iraqi government is to close the Syrian al-Hol camp, because it is a real risk on World Peace” indicating that “extremism represents a challenge to countries and peoples, and the efforts of the international community must be concerted to eliminate this serious challenge”.
 
For his part the Azerbaijani ambassador said that "his country has experience in the field of combating terrorism and money laundering, and it looks forward to cooperation with Iraq, to exchange experiences and information, and to contribute to strengthening global stability".
