8 terrorists arrested in Dhi Qar: FIIA

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA, of the Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday, arresting 8 terrorists in Dhi Qar.

FIIA said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "detachments of the Directorate of counter-terrorism in Dhi Qar during a qualitative operation, based on accurate intelligence information, were able to arrest 8 terrorists in the province."

The Agency added that "its detachments began to carry out the operation using technical methods and ambushes to track the targets until they were arrested," noting that "they were referred to the competent authorities to get their fair punishment."
