The presidency of the Turkish disaster and Emergency Management announced on, Thursday that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 hit the southern Turkish state of Hatay.
The head of the Turkish disaster and Emergency Management said in a statement that "an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 struck Hatay province in southern Turkey" ,indicating that "the epicenter of the earthquake was in the city of Qari Khan located in the state, with a depth of 8.28 km.
The statement added that "So far, there have been no reports of material or human losses as a result of the earthquake".
