MOE from Paris: To include Iraq in UNESCO membership

    The Minister of Education Ibrahim Namis al-Jubouri arrived on Monday, in the French capital, Paris, to include Iraq as a member of UNESCO.

    “Al-Jubouri arrived at the head of a high-ranking delegation to the French capital, Paris, to include Iraq in UNESCO membership and to see the conditions of students there,” said the Minister of Education in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    During his attendance at the 42nd UNESCO conference and his visit to the representative office in Paris, Al-Jubouri stressed “the importance of Iraq’s inclusion in UNESCO membership and obtaining the support of member states. This comes after the strategic plans and development programs that resulted in restoring health among countries, in addition to deliberating on programs for the education sector and dialogue to develop modern policies for preparing and training concerned with educational and teaching staff.”

    “The conditions and circumstances of the students of the Iraqi community,” Al-Jubouri said during his visit to the Iraqi embassy and the Iraqi school in Paris, instructing “to provide full support for this scientific and educational edifice because it represents the starting point for the outputs and the cultural interface abroad.”
