Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani discussed recent developments in the Palestinian territories during a telephone call with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
"The two leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining Arab and Islamic unity in defending the rights and sanctities of the Palestinian people, who have faced violations by the Zionist occupation forces," according to a statement by the PM MEdia Office received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
They also emphasized "the urgency of taking action to prevent further violence, which could have severe repercussions for the region, and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility in stopping the racist discriminatory policies and safeguarding the Palestinian people's right to live with dignity on their land."
