Al-Sudani Receives Turkish Minister of Transport

Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, received the Turkish Minister of Transport, Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who is visiting the capital, Baghdad, in order to advance the joint understandings between Iraq and Türkiye, regarding the Development Road Project.”


“During the meeting, Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of the Development Road Project as a crucial and strategic government initiative. He noted that its execution would bolster the shared connections between Iraq, Türkiye, and other regional countries, serving common interests. He highlighted that it represents the most efficient, direct, and cost-effective transportation corridor, linking the Middle East to the European continent,” the statement said.
 
 
The statement also said that “Prime Minister Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude to the Turkish side for their participation in this significant project. He emphasized the importance of ongoing technical discussions between the two nations to establish the economic framework for implementing the project successfully.”
 
It pointed out that “The Turkish Minister of Transport reaffirmed his country's strong commitment to actively engage in the Development Road project. He expressed the Turkish government's satisfaction with Iraq's plans, essential measures, and its commendable and constructive endeavors towards advancing and reforming the Iraqi economy.”
