Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with Mr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, in New York at the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations and various regional and international topics of mutual concern,” stated the Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
“The Prime Minister emphasized Iraq's commitment to fostering cooperation and partnerships with friendly nations, aiming for economic integration to address regional challenges. He affirmed Iraq's support for Yemen's stability and Iraq's approach to resolving regional crises through constructive dialogue and collaboration among all parties,” the statement added.
For his part, Mr. Al-Alimi expressed his country's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Iraq across various sectors, aiming to serve the interests of both countries Iraq and Yemen.
