IHEC: conducting the first simulation of the provincial elections in early September

    The Independent High Electoral Commission set today, Sunday, the date for the implementation of the first simulation of the provincial council elections, while clarifying the mechanism for its conduct.
     
     
    "The commission intends to carry out four simulations," noting that "the date for the first procedure will be early next September," the commission's director of procedures and training, Daoud Salman, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
    He added that "the process will take place with one station in each registration center for the governorates covered by the provincial council elections only," pointing out that "there are 906 stations in addition to one station in each governorate office, to be (21 stations), so that the total will be 927 stations, which will be ready for the simulation process”.
    Salman added, "The ballot paper will be dedicated to training and simulation, and is commensurate with the size of the governorate," noting that "the verification devices were provided with the real data of the Commission employees by providing the verification devices with the voter numbers of the Commission employees and the encrypted data, to work on the triple fingerprint, skipping, and double matching.”
      "After the end of the simulation process, the manual counting and sorting process will be carried out in accordance with the election law." Salman said.
