BPC fully mobilizes its efforts for the success of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

    The Border Port Commission-BPC confirmed on Friday the mobilization of all its efforts for the success of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.

    "Based on the directives of the Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and in cooperation and coordination with Wasit Governorate, BPC continues to operate 24 hours a day by receiving the pilgrims. the head of BPC, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, inspected the Zurbatiyah border crossing in the presence of the Governor of Wasit Muhammad Jamil Al-Mayahi, Wasit Police Commander Major General Muhammad Qassem Al-Fahd, and a number of security commanders and leaders from the Popular Mobilization Forces,” stated BPC in statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    The statement added, "The aim of the visit is to oversee the preparations of the border crossing and the departments working in it and their readiness to receive visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and it was emphasized that all capabilities and support necessary to facilitate the entry and exit of visitors and Husseini processions in a manner that befits this religious occasion and the provision and to provide the necessary services that ensure the smooth flow of movement.”
     
    “A joint meeting was held on the sidelines of the visit with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the governor of the Iranian province of Ilam to discuss and coordinate a mechanism for dispatching the pilgrims,” the statement continued
