Today, Monday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received an invitation to visit Serbia.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received, in separate meetings, the Serbian Ambassador Oroch Balov, the Japanese Ambassador Futoshi Matsumoto, and the Australian Ambassador Paula Elizabeth Ganley."
The statement added, "The meetings discussed bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation between Iraq and its friends in the economic and investment aspects, supporting the government in implementing its program, as well as discussing a number of issues of common interest."
"The ambassadors, for their part, confirmed their support for Iraq and everything that contributes to achieving its development and stability. According to the statement.
Al-Halbousi also received an invitation letter from the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Orlac, to visit Serbia in the framework of strengthening relations and cooperation between the two parliaments.
