National volleyball faces Hong Kong in the Asian Championship

Our national volleyball team begins today, Saturday, its participation in the Asian Championship, by meeting the Hong Kong national team for the first group, which includes the organizing country, Iran, which is hosted by the Urmia province for the period from (19 to 26) August, with the participation of (22) teams.

The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated, "Our national team is aware of the importance of its first confrontation, which is a transit station to the next round, after the players conducted the first training unit on Thursday, and followed it yesterday, Friday, with the second unit, in preparation for today's interview, and a confrontation awaits it against the Iranian national team, the owner of the land." And the audience is in the same group.”.

For his part, the head of the delegation, Abd al-Karim Abd al-Abbas, announced the readiness of the Lions of Mesopotamia for the upcoming meeting at the start of the Asian competition, indicating that the players were determined to present the best levels and they insisted on passing the first meeting.

It is noteworthy that the (22) participating teams were distributed among (6) groups, each group includes three teams, of which only two teams qualify for the second stage, and the first group includes Iran, Iraq and Hong Kong, and the second includes Japan, Uzbekistan and Thailand, and the third is China, Kazakhstan and Indonesia, and the fourth China Taipei, Bahrain and Mongolia, fifth Qatar and India, sixth and last Pakistan, South Korea and Bangladesh.
