MOE: The nutrition program will be present in the new school year

The Ministry of Education revealed the fate of the feeding program in schools for the next academic year, while clarifying the distribution of the students’ financial grant.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Karim Al-Sayed, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The start date for the school year has not yet been determined by the ministry," pointing out that "the procedures for printing school curricula have begun, and the ministry is proceeding with the procedures for printing the curricula.".

With regard to the financial grant for students, Al-Sayed explained that "the Ministry of Education has contacted the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in this regard," noting that "the grant is intended for students covered by social care.".

He pointed out that "the school feeding program will be present in schools during this academic year," stressing that "the feeding program will include the same previous governorates specified by the Ministry of Planning, as they are poor governorates."
