Interior Minister holds an expanded meeting at Diyala Operations Command

Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari held an expanded meeting today at the headquarters of the Diyala Operations Command.
 
 
A statement by the media office of the Minister of Interior received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the head of the Supreme Security Committee to secure the pilgrimage of the Arbaeen, Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived in Diyala province," pointing out that "al-Shammari held an expanded meeting at the headquarters of the Diyala Operations Command, with security leaders, in the presence of the governor of Diyala, the commander of the ground forces, the provincial police commander and a number of commanders and officers."
 
 
The statement pointed out that "the visit aims to discuss the latest ongoing preparations for the success of the pilgrimage of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and secure the routes of pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala."
