The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced that the security services make progress in identifying the perpetrators of the bombing of power transmission line towers and those behind them.
“While the Iraqi government works to improve public services and ease citizens' burdens, defeated terrorist gangs are sabotaging infrastructure and targeting electricity power lines amid rising temperatures. The most recent incident involved the bombing of power transmission line towers (east of Baghdad - Diyala, 400 kV) in Khan Bani Saad. The security services had precise intelligence about this attempt and made progress in identifying the perpetrators and those behind them. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has ordered that security and intelligence officers be held accountable for any electric power line sabotage within their sectors,” stated The Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Special Forces Yehia Rasool in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.
“The security forces are determined to capture the individuals involved in sabotage and those supporting them. They will ensure that the country's economy and wealth remain uncompromised,” the statement added.
Rasool continued, "We urge all honorable citizens to become active partners in maintaining security and supporting our efforts by sharing any information about suspicious activities that could threaten Iraq's security, particularly concerning sabotage operations. Together, we can safeguard the nation and its well-being”.
