The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed on Tuesday, that Iraq has made great strides towards stability and prosperity.
"The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim, received a parliamentary delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed al-Khalayleh," stated Al-Hakim Media office in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
"During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries and the two fraternal peoples and political developments in Iraq and the region were discussed,” the statement continued.
Al-Hakim lauded Jordan's "pivotal role in regional and international files", stressing "Iraq's desire to open up to all in the interests of the countries of the region".
He pointed out that "the region has promising economic opportunities," calling for "regional integration to benefit from the resources of its countries."
Al-Hakim noted that "Iraq has made great strides towards stability and prosperity, after experiencing difficult struggles and being able to overcome adversity and has recently managed to create an important variable by approving a three-year budget that will enable the Government to provide services."
