The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed today, Monday, that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its thanks to Iraq for holding the extraordinary meeting and the procedural proposals to confront the desecration of the Noble Qur’an.
Al-Sahhaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation express their thanks and gratitude to the Republic of Iraq for its initiative and its call to convene the extraordinary meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states, and for the procedural proposals to confront the desecration of the Holy Qur’an and the hate speech presented by the Minister of Foreign affairs Fuad Hussein in his speech at the meeting.
