Sheikh Al-Khazali receives head of PUK

Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement (League of the Righteous), Sheikh Qais Khazali, and head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)  Bafel Talabani , stressed on  Tuesday, the need to complete the government's plans for reconstruction and provision of services.

A statement issued by the media office of the Secretary-General of the League of the Righteous Movement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "Sheikh Khazali received in his office in Baghdad today, Tuesday, Bafel Talabani, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and during the meeting they discussed recent developments and their impact on the Iraqi state in general, government performance towards it, and the importance of dealing wisely with events away from emotions and ill-conceived action."

At the same time, the two sides praised the government's recent steps in standing firm against insults to the sanctity of the Holy Quran and the Iraqi flag.

During the meeting, they stressed, according to the statement, Iraq's need for continued stability at all levels, in order to implement the governmental plans designed in the fields of providing reconstruction and services to the Iraqi people."
