Defense Minister: The success of Iraqi armed forces in defeating terrorism has strengthened regional stability

Defense Minister Thabet Al-Abbasi affirmed on Tuesday, that the success of the Iraqi armed forces in defeating terrorism has strengthened regional stability.

Al-Abbasi said in a tweet on his Twitter account, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "I received the French Minister of Armies, Sébastien Lecornu at the Ministry of Defense headquarters, and we held bilateral talks on regional security and joint cooperation between the two countries."

"We have shown that the success of the Iraqi armed forces in defeating terrorism has strengthened regional stability, and we have stressed the need to preserve this historic achievement," he added.
