ISAA: Our commitment to applying international standards will contribute to lifting the European ban

    The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that commitment to applying international standards will contribute to lifting the European ban.

    A statement by the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Imad Abdul-Razzaq Al-Asadi, discussed with the European Union mission at Baghdad International Airport the mechanisms of joint action and coordination in order to develop the civil aviation sector in the country."

    Al-Asadi stressed, according to the statement, that "cooperation and coordination with the European Union mission are among the priorities of our work and within the directives of the Iraqi government, and by relying on proactive plans and the nature of information that will improve the work reality to accomplish the development tasks of civil aviation traffic."

    He pointed out, "The success of the authority's work in passing security audits, its commitment to applying international standards, and its continuous communication with the European mission will contribute to lifting the European ban imposed on Iraqi Airways through the continuity of those talks and continuous discussions between the two sides to reach common understandings to mature an integrated vision on the work of Iraqi Civil Aviation.
