Next Thursday (July 13, 2023), the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) will hold a virtual workshop for the benefit of its member news agencies, entitled “Introducing the World Media Congress (second edition)”, in cooperation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM). ) and Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC).
The workshop aims to introduce the second edition of the Congress, which will be held during the period (November 14-16, 2023) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.
The workshop also aims to review the opportunities available to member news agencies during the Congress, which will be organized by “ADNEC” and “WAM”, including reserving space to participate in exhibitions, side meetings, participation in discussion sessions, exchange of expertise and experiences with international media, and signing Cooperation agreements with these means, in addition to participation in workshops.
Acting Director General of the Federation of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Mohammed Abed Rabbo Al-Yami, stated that the workshop comes within the framework of the Union's keenness to enhance the involvement of member news agencies in international media events, in a way that contributes to improving their performance, and modernizing their tools by identifying the latest advanced technologies and innovation in the sector. media.
