Foiling an attempt to smuggle large quantities of crystal in Missan

Iraqi National Intelligence Service(INIS) managed on Thursday, to foil an attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotic crystal through the border areas in Maysan.

A statement by the Security Media Cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "based on accurate intelligence information, the heroes of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, in coordination with the border forces, were able to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotic crystal into Iraqi territory through the border areas in the province of Maysan."

The statement added, "The narcotics have been seized, and efforts are still continuing to track down the smugglers in order to arrest them and take legal measures against them."
