INIS announces the arrest of a person accused of smuggling currency in possession of more than one million dollars

Iraqi National Intelligence Service (INIS) announced on Monday, the arrest of a person accused of smuggling currency in possession of more than one million dollars.

A statement of INIS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces related to the prosecution of perpetrators of crimes of smuggling foreign currency and manipulating the exchange rate, the detachments of INIS were able to arrest one of those involved in these crimes and he possesses an amount of (1,410. 000$) One million four hundred and ten thousand dollars, and (300,000€) three hundred thousand Euro intended for smuggling."
