Two terrorists arrested in Kirkuk province

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (FIIA) announced on Tuesday, the arrest of two terrorists who carried out terrorist operations in which they distributed explosive devices in Kirkuk Governorate.

A statement by the Intelligence Agency, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The intelligence agency's detachments in Kirkuk governorate, based on accurate intelligence information, were able to arrest two wanted persons in accordance with the provisions of Article Four of the Anti-Terrorism Law."

The statement added, "One of the accused participated in targeting personalities and dignitaries in Kirkuk governorate by detonating explosive devices, and the other was stationed in the checkpoints set up by the terrorist ISIS and participated in fighting the Peshmerga forces, before the days of liberation."

It pointed out, "The two terrorists confessed to their crimes, and their statements were recorded in the preliminary and judicial proceedings, so that they receive their just punishment."
