The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, arrived on Wednesday in Anbar Province, at the head of a large security delegation.
A statement of the Ministry of the Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived in Anbar Governorate, at the head of a large security delegation that included senior officers of the ministry.
During his visit, he will meet with the governor of Anbar and the local government."
The statement added, "The visit aims to review the security situation and follow up the implementation of the government program for receiving the security file in the province by the Anbar police in city centers and follow up on all aspects of the Ministry of Interior in the province."
