CTS arrests 5 wanted persons in three governorates

    The Counter Terrorism Service-CTS announced on Tuesday, the arrest of 5 wanted persons in three governorates.
     
    CTS stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and the supervision of the Commander of CTS, Lieutenant General Abd al-Wahhab al-Saadi, the  detachments carried out a series of operations in separate areas of the country."
     
    "CTS detachments, in cooperation with Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Regiment, began carrying out (3) separate duties in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of (3) wanted persons in separate areas of the province," noting that "one of the wanted persons was also arrested in Nineveh Governorate,” the statement added.
     
    CTS's detachments were also able to arrest one of the wanted persons in the capital, Baghdad, as well as carrying out two search Ops in Anbar and Diyala, which resulted in finding two stacks of explosive equipment and materials in the aforementioned provinces."
