Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis announced on Wednesday the discussion of 5 files related to the Development Road during the meeting of the technical committees, which was held with the participation of 10 countries, while pointing to the joining of China and Lebanon in the meetings of the project.
Muhaibis told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the meeting of the technical committees to discuss the Development Road project comes as a continuation of the Development Road conference," pointing to "the presence of more than 10 countries to participate in the technical discussions related to the road as well as the large port of Faw."
He added that "discussions will focus on the subject of the economic model of the project, as well as the nature of participation, its proportions, the speed required for the movement of the train, as well as the designs," noting: "We are going to discuss these topics today with delegations coming from the countries participating in the Development Road, including China."
He stressed that "the presence of these countries is a prominent and distinctive sign that indicates the success of the project and its importance to them, and the evidence is the participation of these countries and the joining of China and Lebanon today in this major international project, with the presence of the World Bank."
