"OPEC Plus" meeting begins in Vienna

    The oil ministers of “OPEC +” agreed to extend the agreement to reduce oil production to 2024.
     
     
    Bloomberg agency stated, "OPEC + agrees to extend the oil production cut agreement to 2024."
    UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei expressed optimism about the "OPEC +" alliance reaching an agreement at today's meeting, according to a statement published by "Bloomberg".
    The meeting of "OPEC +" ministers began today in the Austrian capital, Vienna, to discuss a new agreement based on deepening and extending production cuts until next year.
    According to what was reported by "Reuters" on the authority of two sources; OPEC + is discussing a “comprehensive package” agreement that may include new quotas for countries, with the possibility that it will extend until the end of 2024, and may coincide with additional production cuts.
    The Ministerial Committee for Production Monitoring will consider these proposals, as it meets today prior to the meeting of the “OPEC +” coalition ministers, and then submits its recommendations to the ministers.
