Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received an official invitation from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Kiev.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani met in the Saudi city of Jeddah, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the sidelines of his participation in the (32nd) Arab summit, which Hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," pointing out that "the meeting witnessed discussions on bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance the course of cooperation in areas that serve mutual interests.".
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "the need to adopt diplomatic methods and give an opportunity for dialogue to reach a peaceful solution in Ukraine, to establish security and peace, and to avoid further escalation.".
For his part, the Ukrainian President indicated his country's keenness to develop cooperation between the two countries and ways of consolidating it in several fields, and extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Ukraine, praising "
