Iraq receives the first batch of Pakistani Super Mushshak Aircrafts today

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahia Rasool, congratulated on Sunday, the Air Force Command on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of its founding, while noting that it will receive the first batch of Pakistani Super Mushshak Aircrafts.
     
    "Today marks the 92nd anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force Command, which has acheivements throughout history, where it participated in many battles, the latest of which was the liberation battles against the terrorist gangs of ISIS," Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), offering congratulations to "the members of the Air Force from the command, ranks and affiliates on the anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force Command."
     
    "The tasks of the air force are not only combat, but we have other squadrons for transport, as C-130 and Antonov aircraft participated in transporting families during the liberation operations, especially in Haditha and Baghdadi and sending supplies, and also participated in throwing leaflets on areas that were present in terrorist gangs," he said.

    He pointed out that "after 2003 there was a major role in the rebuilding of the air force, and the Korean F-16 and T50 aircraft were introduced," stressing that "there is an update to complete the capacity building of the air force."

    He explained that "Iraqi pilots and the Air Force Command participated in the operations of assisting other ministries during the period of the Corona pandemic, as it had a role in transporting vaccines from China, and the air force provided subsidies to neighboring Turkey and Syria during the earthquake, as well as its contribution to the transfer of the Iraqi community in Sudan," pointing out that "the Air Force will receive today, the first batch of Pakistani Super Mushshak Aircrafts."
