Kirkuk governor, the Australian ambassador discuss cooperation opportunities

    The Governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, and the Australian Ambassador, Paula Ganly, discussed on Friday the opportunities for cooperation in six areas, including agriculture, economy, and trade.
     
    Al-Jubouri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Ambassador Paula Ganly is the first Australian official to visit Kirkuk as this visit affirms the importance of the province and its security and social stability."
     
    "The meeting witnessed discussing opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agricultural, economic and commercial sectors in light of cooperation between Iraq and Australia, efforts to return liberated areas, the return of the IDPs, support for stabilization efforts, opportunities to rehabilitate communities that have returned to their areas, efforts to empower women, people with special needs and the IDPs due to the terrorist operations," he added.
     
     
    For her part, the Australian ambassador to Iraq told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " I am pleased to visit Kirkuk, as I saw the progress and reconstruction in the province."
