Taiwan detects 42 Chinese aircraft, 8 warships around island

    Taiwan Ministry of National Defense stated on Saturday that a total of 42 Chinese fighter jets and eight warships were detected earlier around the island.

    The news comes hours after the Eastern Theater Command of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) announced it will conduct "combat readiness patrols" and exercises in the island's northern, southern, and eastern air spaces from April 8 to 10.
