The head of the Supreme Judicial Council(SJC), Faiq Zidan, discussed with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, on Thursday, judicial cooperation between the two countries.
SJC said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of SJC, Faiq Zidan, met today, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, on the sidelines of his visit to the Syrian Arab Republic."
"During the meeting, they discussed judicial cooperation between the two countries," The statement added.
It is noteworthy that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is the head of SJC under the Syrian constitution.
