Al-Sahhaf: A delegation headed by the Foreign Ministry is heading to Poland to discuss the issue of illegal immigration

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed today, Tuesday, that a delegation headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs went to Poland to discuss the file of illegal immigration and ways of joint cooperation.
 
 
Al-Sahhaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In light of the visit, the Head of the European Department, Ambassador Haider Al-Athari, and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Border Guard, General Gregory Nemes, discussed ways of joint cooperation between Iraq and Poland in the field of developing the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces in the field of Control the external borders," pointing out, "This came during a meeting held at the Ministry of Interior building in Warsaw, yesterday, Monday, 4/3/2023."
 "Ambassador Al-Athari appreciated the Polish side's offer of joint cooperation in the field of training and developing the capabilities of the Iraqi border guards, the use of modern technology and the exchange information that would protect the borders from illegal infiltration operations." Al-Sahhaf said.
He continued, "The head of the Europe Department appreciated the efforts of all parties, including the Polish Border Guard, in saving the lives of Iraqi citizens those arrived on Polish lands, by providing them with medical care and basic aid in a manner that preserves their lives and human rights."
