Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani and Saudi Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Shammari stressed Sunday, the importance of strengthening and managing joint work.
The Ministry of Justice said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani received, today, in his official office, the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari," noting that, "during the meeting, the importance of strengthening and managing joint work between the two countries and ways to develop it in all fields, especially with regard to the exchange of experiences in the judicial and legal field in a way that serves the interest of the two brotherly peoples."
The statement added, "Mechanisms for activating the agreement for the exchange of convicts between the two countries were discussed in accordance with international human rights standards."
Ambassador Al-Shammari stressed "the depth of the relationship between Iraq and Saudi Arabia," expressing his full support for "joint coordination in the legal and judicial fields between the two countries."
