FIIA arrests 10 terrorists from sleeper cells

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced Wednesday the arrest of 10 terrorists from sleeper cells.

 A statement by FIIA, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior managed to arrest ten wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 / terrorism)", noting that "two of them worked for the so-called suicide bombers' clerks and they are among sleeper cells and wore explosive belts, while the rest of those arrested worked to set up fake checkpoints and plant explosive devices to target the security forces and citizens.

 The statement added, "The arrests were carried out according to intelligence information and original arrest warrants," pointing out that "the statements of the terrorists were written down in the first instance and in the judicial confession, and legal measures were taken against them."
