MOF participates in the International Women of Courage Award Ceremony

The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, participated today, Friday, in the ceremony of the International Award for Courageous Women, and won an appreciation award.

The media office of the Ministry of Finance said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Sami participated in the ceremony, appreciating her contributions to strengthening the Iraqi financial and economic situation and limiting corruption.".

He added, "Her attendance came at an official invitation by the US State Department, and in appreciation of her winning the same award last year 2022, and at this year's ceremony, the minister was awarded an appreciation award for this participation.".

He continued, "The International Women of Courage Award is awarded to women from all over the world who have shown exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, equality, and the empowerment of women."
